Coach Gaudin

Coach Gaudin has served as Coach of the Freshman Squad for more than 5 seasons.  He graduated from David Glasgow Farragut High School in Rota, Spain in 1974 where he was a three sport lettermen (Football, Basketball, and Soccer).  He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1978 with a BS in General Studies and entered the US Army as an Infantry Officer.  During his 14 years of service he served in assignments in Infantry and Aviation units at Fort Benning, Georgia; Fort Rucker, Alabama; Fulda, Federal Republic of Germany; and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  After leaving the Army in 1992 he attended Athens State College and earned his teaching certificate in Physical Education, 1995 and Secondary History 1996.  As a coach at Mountain Gap Middle School he has coached Volleyball, (6 years, City Championship 2002) Boys and Girls Basketball (13 years, Boys City Championship 2009-10), and Baseball (10 years).  He has continued to play/coach baseball in the local Roy Hobbs North Alabama Adult Baseball league and represented Huntsville in the Roy Hobbs World Series in Fort Myers, Florida 16 of the last 17 years.  He is married to Kim Anna Minkinow (32 years) and has two children Marc and Elena Kay.
