Grissom Varsity Tigers won big over Guntersville 10-2 on Tuesday.
Grissom Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after a passed ball scored one run, Jackson Davis drew a walk, scoring one run, and Cody Brothers singled, scoring two runs.
Grissom Varsity Tigers added one run in the third. Cody Brothers lined out, making the score 5-0.
Josh Burrell, Charlie Cassingham, Ayden Reed, Cody Brothers, Zach Shipp, and Dalton Dardin each collected one hit for Grissom Varsity Tigers. Josh Burrell and Cody Brothers each drove in two runs for Grissom Varsity Tigers. Grayson Stroble led Grissom Varsity Tigers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game. Grissom Varsity Tigers turned two double plays in the game.
Dalton Dardin earned the win for Grissom Varsity Tigers. The hurler allowed two hits and one run over four and one-third innings, striking out four and walking one. Griffin Grigsby appeared in relief for Grissom Varsity Tigers.
Grissom Varsity Tigers will travel to Gardendale for their next game on Saturday.
