Grissom Tigers Falls To Hazel Green In Low-Scoring Affair.
Both teams were strong on the hill on Saturday, but Hazel Green was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over Grissom.
Josh Burrell started the game for the Tigers and recorded 21 outs.
Grissom got on the board in the second inning after Jarrett Brown singled, scoring one run.
Burrell took the loss for the Tigers. The starting pitcher went seven innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking one.
Jarrett Brown and Zach Shipp were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Grissom Varsity Tigers. Brown went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Grayson Stroble paced Grissom Varsity Tigers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game.
