Game Update March 27, 2025 vs Guntersville
Grissom secure the win against Guntersville!!!
Grissom topped Guntersville 4-0 on Thursday.
The Tigers jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Dalton Dardin tripled, scoring two runs, and Garrett Blacklock singled, scoring one run.
Charlie Cassingham earned the win for Grissom. The starter surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out three and walking three. Gentle took the loss for Guntersville. The hurler went three innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out two and walking none. Dardin collected the save.
Dardin drove the middle of the lineup, leading Grissom with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Jarrett Brown, Cassingham, and Grayson Stroble each collected two hits for the Tigers. Grissom turned two double plays in the game.
The Tigers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Cody Brothers had the most chances in the field with nine.
Next up for Grissom Varsity Tigers is a DH at Bob Jones on Saturday.
