Week of 2/24-2/29
Tuesday – 2/25 vs Ardmore
Varsity – Grissom 6, Ardmore 8
JV – Grissom 17, Ardmore 2

Varsity – The Tigers led 4-3 in the 5^th inning but gave up 3 unearned runs in the bottom half of the winning and would eventually fall 8-6.

Will Varmette started on the mound for Grissom pitching 4 innings, allowing 3ER, striking out 7. Landon Wissman took the loss in relief.

JV – The JV pounded out 15 hits and scored in every inning of their win vs Ardmore.

The Tigers were led offensively by Gage Harmon, Chris Lynam, and Trevor Broome who combined for 10 hits. Logan Davis started on the mound pitching 2 innings allowing 1ER and striking out 5.

Thursday 2/27 vs Buckhorn – Freshman DH

Freshman – (GM1) Grissom 6, Buckhorn 6
(GM2)Grissom 7, Buckhorn 16

In game 1, Garrett Blacklock started on the mound, pitching 2 innings allowing 1ER. Jarrett Rivera came in relief pitching 2 2/3 innings allowing 1ER. Trent Wagoner came into keep the game tied pitching 2 1/3 innings and striking out 6. Blake Moon, David Rivera and Garrett Swearengin each had 2 hits.

In game 2, Grissom had the lead 5-4 heading into the top of the 4^th before allowing 12 runs in the innings. The Tigers made 7 errors to fall to the Bucks. Blake Moon started on the mound for Grissom pitching 2 innings and striking out 5.

Friday 2/28 vs Thompson

Varsity – Grissom 1, Thompson 11

Varsity – Thompson had a 6-1 lead after 5 innings and scored 5 in the top of the 6^th to win 11-1. Grissom committed 4 errors and walked 6 in the game. John Allen Stogner pitched 4 2/3 innnings allowing 5ER and striking out 5. Eli Worsham had 2 hits for the Tigers.

Saturday 2/29 vs Austin

Varsity – Grissom 7, Austin 8
JV – Grissom 4, Austin 5
Freshman – Grissom 1, Austin 3

Varsity – Grissom was down 7-0 heading into the 6^th before scoring 7 runs in the top half of the inning to make it 7-7. The Tigers would eventually fall in the bottom of the 7^th on a walk off single. Eli Worsham lead the Tigers at the plate with 2 hits.

JV – The game was tied 4-4 after 7 innings and Austin scored 1 run in the bottom of the 8^th to walk it off against the Tigers. Josh Hammonds started on the mound for Grissom pitching 2 innings and allowing 2ER. Ian Lee came in relief pitching 5 inning and striking out 5.

Freshman – Grissom led 1-0 in the 5^th before allowing 3 runs in the bottom half of the inning to lose 3-1. Charlie Cassingham pitched the entire game for Grissom pitching 4 2/3 innings allowing 0ER and striking out 6.
